The short version
The loan amount, interest rate, tenure, and any charges you type into the calculator are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript running on your device. They are never sent to any server — LoanTools has no backend, no database, and no account system, so there is nowhere for that data to go even if we wanted to send it. This site currently uses no analytics or tracking scripts of its own. The only third-party code that can run on this site is Google’s advertising technology, described below.
Information you provide
LoanTools does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, PAN, Aadhaar, bank details, or any other personally identifying information at any point. The calculator only accepts numeric loan details (amount, rate, tenure, fees), and those values exist only in your browser’s memory for as long as the page is open. Refreshing or closing the page clears them. Nothing is written to cookies, local storage, or any server on our side.
Google AdSense and advertising
This site is built to display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When an ad is shown, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance, and limit how often you see the same ad. This applies to any page an ad appears on, not to the calculator itself — Google’s ad code has no access to the numbers you type into the calculator.
Google may use data collected through advertising cookies for personalized advertising, unless you have opted out. You can review and control how Google personalizes ads for you at Google Ads Settings, and read Google’s own explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also manage ad personalization broadly, across many sites, using industry tools such as Your Ad Choices.
Cookies
LoanTools itself does not set any cookies. If Google AdSense is active on a given page, Google’s own scripts may set cookies in your browser as part of serving and measuring ads, under Google’s own privacy terms — not ours. Your browser lets you block or delete these at any time in its settings.
Server logs and IP addresses
Like virtually any website, the hosting infrastructure that serves LoanTools may automatically record standard technical information for every request — such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp — purely as part of normal web server operation and basic security monitoring. This is standard hosting-level logging, not something LoanTools’ own code collects, stores, or analyzes, and it is separate from any loan data you enter into the calculator.
Children’s privacy
LoanTools is a general-audience financial education tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and since the calculator collects no personal information from any user, there is no children-specific data collection to disclose.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles data changes — for example, if analytics are added in the future — this page will be updated to reflect that accurately, and the “last updated” date above will change. We do not backdate changes or apply them retroactively without notice on this page.
